Introducing Adam to Idaho

My name is Adam Rorick. My immediate and extended family have lived in and around Post Falls since 1967. I have lived in several states, recently moving to my home in Sagle, Idaho. This has given me perspective as to just how great Idaho is.

I learned a strong work ethic as a young child helping with the family Rafting and Fishing Guide service. My first paid job was at the age of fourteen, working construction during the summer months. In 1993 I decided to become a small business owner to provide a better life for my family. I owned and operated a small construction business focusing on quality workmanship rather than quantity, while employing one to ten employees. After four successful years of business, I closed my business to pursue a career in law enforcement. I joined the local Carpenter’s Union as a journeyman carpenter for two years before being hired by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.

In September 1995 I started my law enforcement career, retiring in 2021. Throughout my career I held the following positions: Reserve Deputy, Civil Deputy, Corrections Deputy, Patrol Deputy, Patrol Corporal, Detective, Senior Trainer and Patrol FTO Sergeant. One of my most meaningful tasks was training new employees and until recently, there was not a certified staff member that I did not have an opportunity to instruct.

I am the right person to hold the position of District 1 Representative. I am a Constitutional Conservative who believes in effective public safety and free market capitalism with limited government regulation. I believe we need a strong voice to safeguard the vast natural resources and recreational areas within Idaho. I believe that the path to a stronger Idaho is through education reform by returning to teaching students mastery of the basics of reading, writing, math, and civics. I am in favor of school choice which allows parents and families to choose the method of education that will work best for their children, preserving the values and morals taught by the family and houses of worship.

As I endeavor to represent the citizens of Idaho, I am encouraged by Psalm 118, verse 14: The LORD is my strength and my defense; he has become my salvation. Throughout my life, I have been given guidance when I sought His counsel.

I will be a voice for the people, directed by the people, preserving the Idaho way.
